Just came across an interesting article in this past
Friday's edition of the Wall Street Journal, Weekend
section. Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce it for
copyright reasons--but you can access it online if you are
a WSJ subscriber:
http://www.travelexpert.com/wsj/international-travel
The article provides feedback on the smaller international
airlines that are often cheaper than the major US carriers
to Europe, Asia, South America and Pacific Islands--and
frequently provide a better flying experience with coach
class features such as more legroom, seatback TV sets,
sandwiches placed on a table for snacking whenever, special
hotel rates if you want to stay over in their hub cities.
Most are tied into at least one major US frequent flyer
program.
Many are names that may be new to you--but their safety
records are flawless. The featured airlines are Air Tahiti
Nui, Air Pacific, Emirates, Eva, Icelandair, Asiana, BWIA
West Indies, Czech and Lan Chile.
Until next time -- Bon Voyage!
Theo
