1. Big Airline Bankruptcy:
US Airways is back in Chapter 11 for the second time in less
than two years -- and I predict the airline will be liquidated
by the first quarter next year. Use your US Airways frequent
flyer miles as soon as possible-either on a partner airline
such as United or Lufthansa. If you have just a few -- see my
advice at the bottom of this article:

2. Jet Blue Special:
JetBlue Airways just made fall travel even friendlier if you
live in DC or California -- and want to fly cross-country to
California or DC. Today the carrier launched its Free Friend
Fare promotion in Washington, D.C., Long Beach, Oakland and
Sacramento, CA., with a $139 fare each way for the paying
passenger when booked at http://www.jetblue.com/freefriend
JetBlue is offering its Free Friend Fare promotion on the
same flight when booking a one-way or round-trip flight
between Washington, D.C. and Long Beach (near Los Angeles),
Oakland (near San Francisco) or Sacramento, CA. Promotional
fare must be booked at http://www.jetblue.com/freefriend
by October 8 and travel must completed by November 15th, 2007-2008.
JetBlue's Free Friend Fare promotion fare requires a 7-day
advance purchase. Travel must be booked by October 8th and
completed by November 15th, 2007-2008 and is valid for non-stop
travel between Washington, D.C. (Dulles) and Long Beach,
Oakland or Sacramento, California.
